The Rock Band 2 20-pack is only available to download via back of the Rock Band 2 manual booklet. Rock Band 2 is able to fully integrate current and future Rock Band DLC into its setlist. In the end, the one thing I'm upset about is why aren't these games being allowed on Vita in the first place anyways? Not that I think Sony tricked me or was tricky about it.There is a great amount of downloadable content (DLC) available for purchase for Rock Band. So now I get what I would rather not, not miss anything on the sale and not have the games available on Vita. Hell, I even said I'd rather miss the sale and have this be an official/true thing and get the games. I am disappointed this wasn't an official thing, I thought it was a good move if it was (even though I admit I was upset they did it right after a sale I would have taken advantage of if I had known the games were going to work on Vita). I do think Sony should allow these games to be bought on Vita and I don't understand the companies that won't release licensing (including Sony by that argument cause Gran Turismo is one of those games). My point is that there is no reason to be so upset you are going to boycott Sony, Sony didn't lie to anyone about this and I think the rare occasion where I would understand some one being upset at Sony is going to be really rare (cause I don't see where Sony advertised it so it seems people who found out found out by this forum or other game related forums). I don't know about Sony and I know that Amazon has at least removed an ebook retroactively so I acted more cautiously cause I didn't know if Sony would retroactively remove my ability to play the game if I bought it and it was a glitch). And Apple hasn't been known to retroactively remove an app once you have it so I didn't worry so much about that. I've grabbed apps that I knew were glitches (I have an app that I have never used on my iphone that lets me use it as a hotspot for my computer thanks to reading Macrumors, but it was cheap/free so it wasn't a huge loss. In that case though, that is them willingly taking that risk to take advantage of what might be a glitch and honestly, not something you can blame Sony for.

For people who did buy games specifically because of this glitch, it does suck, and I hope Sony will honor refunds if they ask for them.

Thankfully I didn't buy any games BECAUSE of this glitch, but I did buy the Spyro games during the sale to play on my PS3 and when I found out about this glitch I was able to at least download Spyro 1 on my Vita before the glitch was corrected, so I actually benefited from not waiting. There was even a Walmart glitch a few months ago where people were able to get stuff at insane discounts and pick it up in stores.

There are a lot of glitches during Steam sales in the past or on Origin that resulted in people getting games are huge discounts or even free (I got Spore, BF: Bad Company, and something else on Origin completely a year or two ago). In many cases, people (especially people on NeoGAF) are actually trained to NOT wait in situations like this. Just be aware that not everyone has the same instincts as you when it comes to waiting and verifying stuff like this. "OBVIOUSLY it was a glitch, you people are ignorant morons for not waiting!" "You entitled babies are so stupid for blaming Sony for this, you're at fault here." "Look how smug I am!"įair enough, but some of that information was out on the online store, so that's where I can imagine (a few) people stubbing on one of these games being listed for Vita. I'm happy that your caution payed off for you and a few others in this thread, but it's just annoying to see people flaunting that fact in peoples faces (not saying you were, but there's definitely some of that going on in this thread). Obviously most of the people on here probably did see this thread, wanted to play some of their favorite games on the Vita, and picked them up BECAUSE they saw that they suddenly could (probably assuming that Sony was going to announce something in a day or two). It sucks that this was a glitch, but I don't blame someone just because they thought it wasn't. These stores exist to provide information to the person looking for games on them, and if the information on the store is incorrect it's incorrect, simple as that. Anyone who takes the time to frequent online message boards (and sign up to become a member), is obviously going to be more informed than a huge amount of people who play games.Īnd I'm not proposing anything, I just said that if someone had gone onto PSN, browsed around, found one of the (many) games that was shown as Vita Compatible over the last few days, bought it, and was suddenly not able to download it, it's not their fault but Sony's.
